This City

There is blood upon this city,
The smell of loneliness is obtained,
In our hand is the solution,
But by the system our soul is drained,
The curse upon this nation,
Draws fearful sound into the air,
But just as thunder bolts come flaming,
Comes our answer through the Lord's Prayer,
We pray that he may offer a witness,
From which we gain understand of what we are told,
To battle the oppression of pride,
For young in the nation or for old,
But you cannot see the whirlwind,
Of God beginning to break,
Your situation cannot compare,
To the strength of your faith,
This sinful cursed guilty nation,
Will be shaken from their base,
Until they learn that simple justice,
Is the right of every race.
