This Damn Music Room

This is the place I hold close,
For in this room my life did flip.
And when I think of our goodbye,
From my chest my heart does slip.

It was in this room that I did grow,
And learn to take just baby steps,
Because good music only comes,
After hours of endless reps.

This was the place I found my dream
(I remember day one like it was yesterday).
Freshman year, little innocent me,
There were absolutely no words to say.

For who knows what to say at all,
When their life gets flipped all upside down?
And they fall in love with a simple sound,
Its beauty enticing all around.

Our time here in this room is done,
But one thing that I know:
Music can take you wherever you want,
Wherever you're willing to go.
