This Dark World
My thoughts wander around like they’re a stray
You ask how I'm doing, I say I’m fine
But really you don’t know I’m not okay
Due to the thought of when he crossed a line
They taught me to smile and be happy
Never look down or think any bad thoughts
What they never told me was life gets crappy
And those who hurt me will never get caught
You ask how I'm doing, I say I’m fine
But really you don’t know I’m not okay
Due to the thought of when he crossed a line
They taught me to smile and be happy
Never look down or think any bad thoughts
What they never told me was life gets crappy
And those who hurt me will never get caught

This poem is about how some people hurt me, but I know that there is nothing I can do about it because I'm absolutely powerless.
