This I Know To Be True

Alot of things in this life I am never certain of
Except for one thing and it's my heart or love

If ever a person has manipulated or hurt me
It's not too hard to let them go and just be

Because if it's lust and not love then I will overcome
And truly it's that simple to me although not to some

My every bit of soul tells me what I truly desire
It goes so deep for me I feel the passion like a fire

I always thought it to be a curse because I am so in tuned
But honestly I couldn't be me if I were not I'd be ruined

Destroyed never has a person been that I'm aware of yet
And as much as it seems like it, it'll pass and soon we forget

The hurt almost always eventually goes away or subsides
And for the rare few, they're swept away with their tides

The one thing for sure I know to be true
Is all the love I deeply feel for you
