This I Plead to You My Son
Let me see through your eyes.
Something is off but I know why.
I come to you but you own me.
You gave me sight, but I'll never see.
Who come before me the world doesn't hold.
All from you something merely sold.
You clipped our wings yet we still fly.
Where we went wrong we don't know why.
Forgive us mothers for we have strayed.
A deeper price we now have payed.
Flee from us son walk not our path.
He'll never let you go, you'll feel his wrath.
I show you my soul so you may stand.
My hour glass runs short; the flow of sand.
Eons ago I asked for his sight.
All but him abandoned me in my plight.
Now I lay down he demands I sleep.
What I don't know is I am now his to keep.
My flight is over today he has won.
Say no to him I promise he will come.
This I plead to you my son.
