This is America

Old boys lift skirts & they see nothing wrong
we raise our fist & posters but they see violence
broken system
they can’t breathe but they still shoot
it’s an accident they say
bullets & deaths have become the new normal
crossing borders to see a new beginning
separated & wrapped in foil to give them warmth
but all it gives is fear & tears
what happened to the “Free America”
where everyone is welcomed?
death to the change & innocent
divided by color & religion
our brains clogged with technology
keeping us away from the truth
where is the justice we want?
