This Is For You

This is for the girls that always rejected me
This is for the guys that never respected me
This is for the haters that always judged me
This is for the parents that never loved me
This is for the bullies that always pushed me
This is for the teachers that always shushed me
This is for your mom, your dad, and your brother Tommy
Who can't look at you since they first saw me
This is for the people who never stopped me
The people who always fought me
The kids who lived way up the block
The kids with glass homes that still threw rocks
This is for your aunt, your uncle, and your cousin Eddie
This is for the mom that stayed but the dad that left me
This is for the pain she suffered and couldn't control
This is for the pain I had, the pain I stole
This is for the days I saw my mom in the light
After killing herself on a December night
This is for every day I spent without a friend
This is for every night without an end
This is for the day you left me for dead
With bruises and blisters all over my head
This is for your cousin, your grandma, and your aunt Judy
This is for the bullet that I put straight through me
This is for the student body that witnessed the latter
This is for the people that cared when it didn't matter
