This is no Joke

This is no Joke
Life as I know it has become quite and sad
Some take it seriously, others think its absurd
Isn’t it funny how everything can shut down and life as we know it comes to a halt
Still the sun will set at night, and come up every morning
As the sun warms the earth, The streets become alive
As people venture out trying to make it through the day
Joggers passing by, people walking dogs,
families riding bikes and parents pushing strollers
A sight that has become ubiquitous no matter where you go
Stores, schools and ton’s of businesses have all closed.
No gyms to work out in, so many people on the streets running and jogging,
While keeping a distance and wearing a mask.
People are afraid of what cannot be seen,
Parent’s have to work from home while schooling their children.
With technology, education has found a way to go on.
Families will grow stronger, the bonds we have will grow as we distance
Memories of loved ones' lost; will indeed change our lives forever.
People who have returned home from the hospital will tell you
THIS IS NO JOKE, take it seriously! I thought I was going to die!
Covid-19 takes lives, and spreads rapidly
It caused the world to shut down, it exhausted every rescue responder!
Wearing gloves and masks has become the normal, social distancing and washing hands has become impulsive, this virus will go down in history
It will never be forgotten
This plage will be vanished from our earth, we the people will have VICTORY
Have no fear we will PERSEVERE!!!
