This Tunnel

LIFT THE VAIL FROM MY EYE'S
KEEP ME SAFE FROM THEIR LIES.
TURN ON THE LIGHT,OPEN A
DOOR, I'M TIRED OF WALKING ON
DISTANT SHORES,THESE CLOUDS
ARE DARK, THE WATER TO HOT,TIRED
OF BEING SOME THING I'M NOT.
LEFT THIS VAIL SO THAT I MAY
WALK THROUGH, THAT I MAY BE
CLOSER TO YOU...THESE SHORES
ARE LONG,THIS GRASS IS HIGH,
EVERY THING HERE COVERS MY EYES.
I MAY SEE IN COLOR,BUT MY
VISION ISN'T CLEAR..I WIPE
AWAY ONE FRAGILE TEAR...
FEARING NOT WHAT I SEE,IS THERE
SOME THING WRONG WITH ME..?
MY INSIDES SHAKE,MY OUTSIDE
STILL..AS THEY PASS I FEEL
THEIR CHILL..THIS TUNNEL IS
HERE...AM I IN OR OUT...?
CAN YOU HEAR MY VOICE AS I
SHOUT...? INSTEAD OF SHORTER
IT KEEPS GETTING LONGER..
THE CLOUDS GET DARKER,THE GRASS
GETS TALLER...WHAT AWAITS AT THE
END, I HAVEN'T A CLUE,IS IT ME..?
OR IS IT YOU..?
NO LIGHT THAT I'VE SEEN..,NO
FRESH AIR TO BREATH..,THE CARBON
IS EATING AWAY AT ME....
AIR SO THICK STILL CAN'T BREATH.
WATER IS DEEP, PAST MY KNEE'S...
GRASS SO HIGH YOU I STILL CAN'T
SEE...CUTTING AWAY AT WHAT
BLOCKS THE LIGHT,WALKING THROUGH
THE LONG DARK NIGHT...
SHAKING,STILLNESS,FEELING OF
BREATHLESSNESS...
WALKING THROUGH THIS TUNNEL
TRYING TO FIND YOU..
