This World Has Fallen

This world we live in is wrongly described.
People do not see the destruction; it's as though they have no eyes.
This world has fallen; either no one notices or they refuse to see.
The only way out is to be dead it seems.

This world has fallen; I now understand why people welcome death.
Because in this world, this brutally mistaken world, no one can rest.
This world has fallen; why can't you see?
It's right in front of you, or is it only me?

This world has fallen, but the end is not yet here.
Why can't this world get back up to end all fear?
This world has fallen, but you do not see.
"Stop," I yell, but no one, not even the world, cares to listen to me.

This world has fallen, and I feel alone.
All I do is stand and watch; is that wrong?
This world has fallen, I watch as it collapses.
The world is done and has fallen to ashes.
