Thorn Pricked Abruption

A rose instinctively knows
It shows delicate beauty
It grows intimidating thorns
On protective duty
If one disturbs such intricate splendor,
Prick of one thorn stick
Protests imprudent prick, warily

Oh, how I know the suffering
Of love's tormenting grace
I see the tempting taunt to touch
The contours of his face
With sweet insist, his kismet kiss
Avails love's consumption
Until cruel world breaks the dream
With thorn pricked abruption

What a sweet aroma comes
Amidst desire's daring stand
Eternal memories made
From fate's blatant guiding hand
Love's ignited night cries,
Interrupted by harsh morning light
But like the rose, it knows
Love's beauty comes with painful price
