Though It Tarry

I arrived late
but was told I came right on time
I repented last
yet I was put in front of the line
I had done little
still so much was given to me
I was dying slow
and got revived quickly
Now it's my turn to wait
to develop a patient sense
Learn to observe all things
watching for the sign to recompense
Though it tarry, it shall surely come
though it delay from whence it came from
Though it tarry, in the end it shall speak
When I'm sent a mean man
Who like me was made meek
