Thoughts of an Uptown Tusker
Striding in the parade,
As the tribes applause,
A Kiddo caught my eyes.
He was terrified by the sounds,
All the fire and the crowds,
By the illuminated, chained beasts.
He went up to his mother,
Seeking comfort in her shelter,
Mending as approached by the father,
I wish I could do the same,
Run into my fam and feel the same,
I’m also a kiddo, terrified by the same.
