Through a sea of mangled grass

Through a sea of mangled grass
Is a cat with a fluffy tail,
And by that cat is a wineglass.
In it, is a drink that is almost pale.
Through a sea of water so blue,
Is a beautiful great big wave,
And through the wave is a great view.
I calm as the wave begins to behave.
Every night as a little girl i caught one firefly,
I put it in a jar and used it as a light.
As they grew in my jar i watched as they tried to fly.
So i let them go and watched them take flight.
As i watched them take off i sighed,
Sad though i wanted them to live before they died.
