through a small space

amongst the millions of billions of trillions of lives that turn at the sound of Your voice
the fibers of blades of grass of fields below mountains beneath skies beneath space
You let in a light, a small spark that erupted a spilling of cells that became me
through a small space of creation, You poured out Your Love and let this creature be
to get to experience beauty and loss and love and freedom and virtue
fire and passion and trust and heartache and longing for every third of You
i thank You, this small light, this tiny piece of Your own self that you surely planted
i’ll shine it on others that feel lost and turn their sunflower heads to You
