Through Her Heart

She says she doesnt care,
Though the words cut deep,
She dares not speak,
As the words stab her heart.
She held back her thoughts,
As she listened in silence and pain.
Through her heart,
The knife cuts deeper with every word.
She smiled slightly,
To try and hide her damaged heart.
The words stick,
As if they were made of glue.
She held back,
As she listened in pain.
Through her heart,
The knife of words still remains.
She smiles still,
Now, can you see her heart?
