Thunder Lullaby

I don't want it to roll across the skies
I want it to crash down the stairs
And crumple at the bottom
With moaning groaning weeps and cries
I want it to bellow across the whole land
And shake the floor beneath my feet
And walls beneath my hands
I want that song a Thunderstorm brings.
The crinkling of the rain
The shushing of the wind
The bright whip of the lightning
And the violent crashing of thunder
The wind throwing itself against my window
Like the sea's own coughing
The rain singing itself into oblivion
I want that violent wordless lullaby.
