Tide of my Soul

Ocean girl,
You are the sun
I’ll stare in to.
The warmth upon her skin glows,
Radiates outwards
Although shadows cast.
Silhouettes of a storied life
Untamed hair
Falls.
Wrapped around her face
She’s a wild flower
Dances.
Wisps in ocean wind
Barefoot.
Roots grounded, heels dug in
Colored.
Water beneath her feet
As deep as the soul in her eyes
New moon tide
Pulls.
In every direction
Waves wash over her heart
Free.
