‘Til Morning

There’s a monster ‘neath my bed
It’s four eyes are glowing red
But my light keeps it at bay,
It makes it think its day,
And it keeps me safe ‘til morning

There’s a monster in my closet
Shiny fangs and horns adorn it.
I keep locks on the door
And toys on the floor
And it keeps me safe ‘til morning.

There’s a monster in my dad,
It makes him very mad
I know I can’t fight it
So I stay small and quiet,
But I don’t think I’ll last ‘til the morning
