‘Til the sun dies

My arms reach, to conceal the pain
and keep you from walking in the rain
My heart tries to cover the hurt
and to keep you from falling apart
With gentle caress of finger tips
I hold your heart with gentle grips
Let me be the glue holding you strong
through the tears of the day, all night long
I refuse to let you fall, not a single piece
so cling to me and have some sort of release
I know words are cheap and actions speak
but I want to carry you to the peak
climb with me to the skies
we can stand in the light 'til the sun dies
