TIME
Through darkness
Through light
An endless reminder of our limited years
A constant sign of what is to come
The unknown
Where only God knows
Where the shadows stop lurching
That familiar
Tick
Tock
Forever lasting
An unmarked calendar
Counting down our failures
Our successes, our losses
Until we can't count anymore
An everlasting streak of worry
The anxiety an eternal reminder
A boundless smudge on peace
Nothing lasts forever.
