Waiting. Watching. Wandering when.
Silence swallows all within.
Twisting, turning. Frustration churning.
Picking, prying. Patience burning.

Time is ticking, ticking constant.
More of it is what we all want.
Lost and lapsing seconds fall.
Minutes wander, time takes toll.

Life lines linger, stretch and break.
Push, pull corners - cover mistakes.
Weeks fall prey to Month's betrayal;
Pages turning, years arrival.

Locked - try opening. Gates of time.
Past and present, retain the mind.
Memories even have a limit.
Age removes the "in" of infinite.

When counting chickens before they
hatch - look, remember. Here comes a new batch.
