"Time heals all wounds"
The echo often sounds
But what if the wounds
Are too deep and profound?

Time marches on
When your heart is still bound
To those who came and went
And yet the world goes 'round and 'round

Tick-tock, the clock
Though your world is caving in
Light to dark, east to west
When you are left to question

Waters of the ocean
Continue to rise and fall
Though you are left wishing
You never received that call

Time is a constant
That is for sure
So we must keep marching
To live for him or her
