Time for the night

And then I had to sleep,
tough day, crying in bed.
I couldn't close my eyes
by sorrow overfed.

Afraid I couldn't...
live up to expectation they say!
But it's more than mind racing,
It's true despair.

But then I heard some chirping...
it was my old bird friend!
Announcing the new day coming
putting the night to an end.

Sunbeams
trought the barely open casement
How welcome they are!

But...
Am I ready to start over?
Let's just hope I won't cry.
