Time is too Slow

True lovers split apart by the shortcomings of time,
Drives me to pour my soul into words that rhyme,
Your love came too soon,
Your heart was too frail,
Our love was too young not to fail,
Bound by circumstances,
Two soulmates in the same ballroom but doing different dances,
Maybe in another life,
or some other way,
We’ll meet again,
in the dusk of day,
Time was not our friend,
It came far too slow,
I wanted your heart more than you’ll ever know..

One of my older works. This is about meeting someone in the wrong time of your life and never being able to go back.
