Time To Come Home
There is an emptiness inside me
It grows bigger everyday
This nothingness is dragging me down
Down to the dark depths of insanity
I was insane once
I know how it feels
Until the time she is home again
Even in the spiritual sense
The insanity still grows
She is trapped in her old body
Not wanting to leave my side
I hope she understands me
Its okay to die
She needs to come home
To be at peace once more
No more hurting for either of us
No more sorrow
When she comes home
The emptiness will be filled
No insanity
Just Joyful Tears
It grows bigger everyday
This nothingness is dragging me down
Down to the dark depths of insanity
I was insane once
I know how it feels
Until the time she is home again
Even in the spiritual sense
The insanity still grows
She is trapped in her old body
Not wanting to leave my side
I hope she understands me
Its okay to die
She needs to come home
To be at peace once more
No more hurting for either of us
No more sorrow
When she comes home
The emptiness will be filled
No insanity
Just Joyful Tears

I wrote this poem when my dog TJ was sick. She was 15 and her health was getting worse.
