Time To Spend
Time is the worst enemy to human beings
Paying for our time like we're detainees
We know when time stops, but when did it begin?
And when time is up, is that the end?
Comparing the two; money and time
Your time could end at the drop of a dime
Life goes by too fast
Like a forty-yard dash
Where we're steady racing toward the future
While we're running through the past
Waiting for you at the finish-line is God and his stop-watch
To hand you your wings and to heaven you launch
Where the time doesn't end
But if you had dimes to buy more time to spend
You could be baptized and be reborn again
Paying for life with the time we spend
Choosing a religion so we could have life insurance
This world is a museum and we're the tourist
So paint your own images, because life is too short
To be looking through someone else's pictures.
