Times We Had

I think of all those times we had,
Where a thousand words were shared,
And for those silences too, I'm glad,
Showing me how you truly cared.
I miss you terribly in the night,
When darkness starts to creep,
I try to hold your face in sight,
But it fades and then I weep.

I think of all those times we had,
Where a thousand laughs entwined,
To our joy they came to add,
The splendor of it enshrined.
Each action or word you spoke to me,
Resonated within my soul,
Displayed the world's great beauty,
And made me feel again whole.

I miss you achingly in the day,
When the light reminds me of you,
And every word that you would say,
Would have an "I love you, too".
I think of all those times we had,
Where a thousand moments were made,
The happy, glad, the sad, and bad,
There is nothing that I would ever trade.
