To A Loved One

I wish RIP meant return if possible,
I can't hear your voice anymore,
no calls, no texts,
I remember your laughs,
and your endless jokes,
I know you could not stay,
to show your presence,
to love, live, laugh, & play,
Tasks were left undone,
it must stay that way,
We think of you with love everyday,
but that is nothing new,
we thought of you yesterday,
the days before that too,
I know I have to let you go,
Let the lord take over,
I know that it's your time to die,
what I don't understand is,
it's hard to speak the words " Goodbye",
it's not the goodbye that hurts,
Its the flashbacks that follow,
Your death left a endless heartache,
that no one can heel,
But love leaves a memory,
no one can steal,
I don't know what to do,
I guess I'll end this poem,
with a good bye and I love you.
