To Be Me

I often wonder why I have no friends.
This is what it's like to be me.
I spend a lot of time sitting alone.
This is what it's like to be me.
Nowhere to belong except for home.
This is what it's like to be me.
To outspoken to keep any friends.
This is what it's like to be me.
Too strong minded to try to fit in.
This is what it's like to be me.
No one appreciates the love I have Within.
This is what it's like to be me.
Plus, I am too guarded to let people in.
This is what it's like to be me.
Haven't had a job in over a year.
This is what it's like to be me.
Sought a new direction, I'll just volunteer.
This is what it's like to be me.
And just found out I can't even do that.
This is what it's like to be me.
Ethics are too high, can't even work for free.
Rejected again now brings many tears.
This is what it's like to be me.
Who in their right mind would want to be me.
I could go on and on telling you what it's like to be me.
It's very lonely being alone in this space I call me.
But this is what it's like to be me.
