To Do Or Dare

I dare you to love me

I dare you to treat me like an arrow of cupid,
a dove in the hand that makes you feel so stupid

I dare you to hold me,
like I'm not made of daggers

I'm the highest single point on a never ending ladder
But I still dare you to climb

I dare you to shine,
like a lighthouse leading a boat to the very end of time

I dare you to run with me,
like the edge isn't getting closer

I dare you to cry on these sand paper shoulders

Scraping your face yet drying your cry's,
bringing you big black smiles with little white lies

I am destructive yet loving,
so care for me as i hope to care for you

I dare you to love me,

and I'll love you too
