To Dream

Dreams lay deep in your mind's eye
No other sees or feels them
There, they grow, not dormant lay
Your thoughts are what retrieves them
They take your day's experience
Combined with fabrication
And take you on a journey
Of which there's no clear location
I'm sure you too have had a dream
So real you wake in terror
You strain your eyes to be for sure
Your fears are all in error
Then, there are those dreams so good
You wish they'd never finish
You play out any fantasy
Awake without a blemish
Ah, yes, To Dream
What a release
Like looking at a movie
No consequence when you awake
For me, that is the beauty.
