To Feel Again
The pain that she felt,
The hurt that they caused her,
She didn't care anymore.
She felt numb,
She just wanted to end it all.
She sat at home every night,
Hoping to feel something one more time.
So she did the one thing she knew would help,
She went to the bathroom,
As the door closed behind her,
She went to the cabinet and pulled out her old friend,
It glimmered just like she remembered in the light above,
She holds it as she slides it across her wrist slowly,
Red specks of blood shine in the light as they leave her wrist,
She does it again,
Slowly she feels peace,
As she closes her eyes,
The world gets farther away,
As she enters the world in her mind,
And never opens her eyes again.
