To Love Insanely
I'm drowning in a sea of uncertainties;
Gripped internally by the strongholds of what appears to be love.
Meditating on the heart's desires
Simultaneously, trying to contain an agitated mind.
Which voice to follow?
The anxious whispers, common to sound when the light shines dim?
Or the jubilant thumps of the body's core at mention of your name?
Disoriented by the image of your face;
Eyes hollow with no hint of reciprocation
To the emotions overtaking my every thought.
How quick to become numb; to flirt with insanity's greeter?
Racing through the maze of an encompassing romance;
Optimistic to the solace awaiting at its end.
Until then, the choice remains lost with you;
To be vulnerable without limits.
Risking all that is me for the complex being of us.
