To My Father

To my father,
you were never there for me,
you never tucked me in at night,
you never taught me how to ride a bike,
you never brushed my hair out my face,
nor kissed me on the forehead,
you abandoned me,
you left me and my mother,
every child wants that happy family,
but you made it clear that cannot be,
for if it could you would not have abandoned me,
I'll never now the feeling to dance with my father,
to feel his warm embrace,
to have him cuddle me during my first heart break,
now i sit here alone in my mother's arm,
for everything she has taught me,
your love she has substituted,
to my father,
you were never there for me,
and my mother has raised me to be the woman that you see
