To My Heart

I have more time; yet less
Feel emotions? If you do you're dead
The waves crash down beneath my feet
The movements--the tide
Are they all too much?
My breath is frosty against my cheeks
Icicles trickle--snow falls
Sometimes I'm hot, but mostly cold
The heart never melts- even when it's warm
The soul wants what the heart has-
The heart will never tell
Dreams have past, gone somewhere far
The wind will take me yonder
As the fire burns
The clenching in my heart stops
Darkness creeps in
Ghost of the past returns
