To the Ocean

To the ocean my body belongs
a Pisces to the bone
blue and angry and strong
the spirit of me prolongs

crash and burn and rise again
in waves and echoes and current
heartbeat of a thousand treading men
when to quit I know not when

cursed with the song of my curling flow
draws in all the wanderers
though the sight of my mystery do glow
the clouds that burn I lie below.
