Tombstone (Revised)

To whom who reads this scripture upon my tomb,
Know that i've met my eternal doom,
A life of closed eyes and eternal slumber,
My days i've tried to feed this painful hunger,
Companionship and love were at my grasp,
Once held it,
And knew it would not last,
My body lay beneath the ground,
Not a tear shed for me, neither a sound,
Of grief and mourn to my days of living,
Could it be that no one cares in giving,
To the one that reads my script of pain,
Know now that I have died in vain,
My soul,
Without peace,
Roams the earth,
Watching others to find a sense of self worth,
Many winters passed,
Throughout my afterlife,
I am trapped behind this looking glass,
Peace will never come,
For the love that I seek can never last.
