Transparent thoughts
Satin sheets
Rough whispers
Velvet sighs

Two people lie in the bed
One a girl, ready to give up her most prized possession
The other, a boy
Ready to get what he's been waiting so, so long for

After tonight
They will never see each other again
Future glances at each other will be filled with hate
Their bond will shatter

There will be a cornucopia of tears
An abundance of angry words
The harsh thud thud thud of angry footsteps

But they have tonight
To cherish each other for as long as they'd like
They have until the inflamed rays of the sun fill the sky
Before everything they've come to known changes
