Writing sonnets is unbearably hard.
Shakespeare simply made it seem quite easy.
Personally, one thing I would discard
are the rules which frankly make me queasy.
This crazy rhyme pattern is confusing,
and I have nothing against an end rhyme,
but these requirements have me using
words that truly do not fit the cat thyme.
Do not even let me get started on
the decasyllabic lines I must use
in order to ensure your voice is drawn
beautifully to the next line of shoes.
Well, my oh my, would you look at me now?
I have a sonnet that I wrote somehow.
