Touched by an angel

As I opened my eyes to a whole new world,
I glanced at this angel, she was sent from above.
My eyes but fixated, her love, her care,
Her every heartbeat serenaded my naps, eased my malaise.
Touched by an angel, I truly was.
Another milestone,peers,friends,
mentors,experiments and love.
My little conquests,my haven,my joy.
Steering my ship, yet sails in her hand.
Withholding the failures,highs and lows.
Pain and exhilaration,she stood firm.
My anchor,be still, yet another phase to pass.
Touched by an angel,I truly was.
Culminating partnerships,adjustments, engagements.
Life sailed on with wholesome labour.
She worked her magic and weaved me a net.
Touched by an angel,I truly was.
The day I dreaded soon to surface,
High tides, strong winds engulfed but more.
The wreckage,the loss,irreparable.
Life has a strange design, moments cease.
For in this sentence is my solitary pain.
