Tragic Isolation

Isolation is a sad game
A game of one player where the winner is none
Lessened by nothing other than life
Tactically planned with the most careful touch
Debilitating trauma brought on by the silence
Darkness pulsating through the air
Letting whispers slowly caress your mind
The silence screams as if to beg for help
And ask for forgiveness
Isolation doesn't forgive
Instead it hurts and it magnifies the deepest insecurities
Longing for a deep breath then back to drowning
Drowning in the nothingness
Reach for safety but it's not there
Please don't go
It's not too late
I'm sorry
