Transfer to the N Train

I looked at him
And I could not look away.
Still with such certainty,
He was beautiful.
A lace-trimmed danger.
Some day, a face for me to remember
A face of a stranger.

I looked at him
And I could not look away.
Still for a minute.
I will awfully always remember
Chasing pretty thoughts
And how these thoughts
Sink into my skin, sinking into my soul
Drenched.

I looked at him
And I could not look away.
Still thought to myself, don't lose control
Remembering traces of his face
He was beautiful.
Some day, a face for me to remember
A face of a stranger.
