By Jacob

Darkness all around me
My eyes trying to adjust to the blackness
My ears pick up on a thumping noise
Heartbeat racing with the noise, anxiety building up
Try as I may I can't find the source
A cold sweat covers my face
Pushing against the darkness I can find no relief
For on all sides of me there are walls covered with silk
Breathing frantically, heart racing, I pound on the wall above me.
Suddenly a warmth envelopes me
A soothing voice calls to me to calm myself
A light begins to appear growing as it gets closer
Warm glow envelopes me and a hand appears from the light
Reaching out I take a hold of the hand an feel myself rise up
Through clouds I rise until I come to a figure of light who embraces me with loving arms and says welcome home.
