Trapped

All of these sensations, are merely just temptations,
Leading me from what I need to what I want these worldly things consuming me,
And all of these posessions, lead me to the question,
Is this who I realy am, or what I want, or how the world says I should be?
Trapped by all life's easy sin,
We search for something more within,
Let down beat down by those we've trusted,
We fight to withdraw from the ways that once trapped us,
And instead of my reflection in the mirror, I see my shadow and a creature drawing nearer,
In fear I drop to knees as they come closer, I hear the chains and whispers echoe even clearer,
Trapped by all life's easy sin,
We search for something more within,
Let down beat down by those we've trusted,
We fight to withdraw from the ways that once trapped us,
Fist clenched, I bash the mirror in,
Tear drenched, I feel relief within,
All my sins now shattered pieces falling from the wall,
Back into reality through all these shards I crawl,
Trapped by all life's easy sin, we search for something more within,
Let down beat down by those we've trusted, we fight to withdraw from the ways that once trapped us,
