Trapped

Trapped
I'm living a life within me; I'm trapped inside these
walls. I can't go out for fear of death, I have no life
at all. outside these walls are wonders with
marvels left to see, the sun, the moon, the
stars, are just a few of these, but I can't go out among
them for something waits for me, the hand of death
is reaching, if someone dares to breath.
roads are bare outside, for no one dares to
come this way, I haven't seen a face in days
and smiles have gone away. I wonder down
the hallway of this place that I'm trapped in
and I hear the things they're saying its best to stay
within. stay away from others or that hand will
pull you in and those walls that you've been
trapped in will be your bitter end. Today the
newsman told me this life I'm living now
will be my new tomorrow someday,
someplace somehow.
I'm living a life within me;
I'm trapped inside these walls. I can't go out
for fear of death, I have no life
at all.
