Trapped In War

I was strolling down the sidewalk when a cluster of men and women with children started to scurry past me
I was glancing at people in front of me, policeman shouting “run”
I ended up in the street with the mob
Everyone trampling over each other packed together like bulls
A guy had his hand on my back using force causing me to stumble
A woman on the right side of me was holding her child’s hand trying to impel through the crowd
being shoved with the stamped,
babies screeching, men cursing, feet stomping
People hollering at me to keep moving
stepping on the back of my shoes causing my feet to intertwine
I didn’t know what was happening
I was trapped
