Trials

Can you remember when nothing went right,
When plans were derailed or money was tight,
With roadblocks in front of everything tried,
Then all your best efforts were thwarted or died.
If this has happened to you or a friend,
It's not the beginning of an unpopular trend.
It's only temporary, so endure it well,
You'll grow and progress, have this story to tell.
I remember overwhelmed and thrust into view,
Stressed to the limit and petrified too.
Once I was sick, it seemed to never cease,
I threw everything at it trying to appease.
This is a trial, being powerless and buffered,
To stop the experience our children have suffered.
Or caught in a story of accusations untrue,
And live the consequence with no hope of renew.
Someday I'll change my direction inside,
What remains is no detection of pride.
Then I'll have faith of the mustard seed,
And truly live honest, forsaking all greed.
Finally perspective my trials weren't in vain,
That life's experiences didn't drive me insane.
They prepared me intensely and made me strong,
To come off conqueror all the day long.
