Trough the Leaves

By

Isolated,
Cut off and closed,
The outside world came crashing down.
Clutching the collection of bound and printed leaves,
I began to turn page after page
to continue the journey that I began.
I witnessed fight after fight, yet none ever wavered.
Arrows flying from their bows
as the swords sang as they clashed.

Through the countless leaves that came to me,
I found myself escaping and kept myself sane.
It was through the leaves, of a tall forest;
and from those very trees, I kept of sound mind.
Yes, I lived in ignorance, but it was for the best.
Upon this hurdle, we will overcome
and we will see to the end.
