True Love

He started out with dark hair like midnight
His huge, blue eyes used to outshine the sun
His skin wasn't always so dang wrinkly
The muscles he has used to be of use
When smiling, he could brighten the building
His voice could put me to sleep instantly
And now, his hair is whiter than the snow
His eyes are more gray and much more saggy
When dancing, he stumbles over his feet
I don't hear his passionate laugh anymore
His smile is not so uplifting and happy
And his voice is scratchy and rough to hear
But I love him more than the universe
Just like young love
It's as if we never changed
